Earlier this year, the FDA approved Dysport which is a new alternative to Botox.  Botox and Dysport are both injectable botulinum toxins designed to temporarily treat moderate to severe lines, winkles, and furrows between the brows.  The toxins are injected at the neuromuscular level to inhibit the contractions of the muscles in that area reducing/eliminating wrinkles and lines.

Botox and Dysport do differ.  The proteins within the toxin have a smaller complex than Botox.   The dosages used are also not equal so if you have had Botox injections before, the amount of Dysport used will probably not be the same.  Dysport results will usually appear after three days and last around four months.  Dysport is rumored to cost less than Botox, but at this time, pricing is not available.

The results of Botox and Dysport injections are the same.
