Engaged? Prepare for the special day by looking your best!
1. What are the Top 5 surgical cosmetic procedures requested today?
Botox® injections are the clear winner as the most frequently requested cosmetic procedure; however, the Top 5 surgical procedures are breast augmentation, nose reshaping, liposuction, eyelid surgery, and tummy tuck.
2. Are you able to perform all of those procedures?
Yes, I offer all of those surgical services and more. I, also, offer Botox® injections, facial chemical peels, and other facial filler injections such as Evolance®, Juvederm®, Restylane®, Sculptra®, and Perlane®
3. Since this is the bridal issue, what may brides do just before the wedding to help rejuvenate their lips for the occasion?
There are several effective methods to rejuvenate the lips through increasing volume and reducing lines around the mouth. An intense method would be to harvest fat from an area of the body and then re-inject the fat into the lips creating voluptuous volume. A more common method is to plump the lips through hydration and hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane®, Perlane®, Juvederm®, and Evolance®. Someone receiving either of these procedures should do so at least 1 week prior to the special occasion.
4. Aside from the lips, what else may brides do to create a fresh, younger looking face?
Of course, Botox® injections are a common procedure performed, again, about one week prior to the special event. Injecting Botox® in areas of the face such as the forehead, between the eyes, and around the eyes relaxes the muscles that create the wrinkles and deep lines resulting in a fresh, relaxed face. Sculptra® is facial filler that may be injected into the nasal labial folds (the deep lines that extend from the sides of your nose to the mouth). Sculptra® will create plumpness in that area to reduce definition. For an all over treatment, there are several chemical peels that may be administered at varying strengths depending on your desired result.
5. The brides aren’t the only one in the limelight all day. What services do you offer for the groom?
Any of the procedures we have already mentioned are offered to men as well. Often, men will have wrinkles and lines that can easily be corrected through facial injections. Sun spots may be reduced through chemical peels. If the groom is “follicle challenged”, I offer hair transplant services to help create a fuller, thicker head of hair. Hair transplant services need to be initiated nearly a year before the special event.
6. When do you suggest a bride, groom, or someone in the wedding party should start cosmetic treatments?
If you are unfamiliar with how your body will respond to injections and other treatments, you should have a trial run on your desired treatment six months before the special occasion. Then, if you were pleased with the outcome, you can refresh your look a few weeks to a month prior to the event to ensure you have a natural looking result.
7. We hear more and more about bridal parties centered on cosmetic services. Do you offer such a thing?
Actually, yes! Training in Beverly Hills, California, it was not uncommon to have a bride that wished for her wedding party to have a rejuvenated, fresh look. Many brides would arrange a Bridal Beauty Party focused on Botox® and facial filler injections, chemical peels, and sclerotherapy treatments. Sclerotherapy treatments help reduce varicose or spider veins in the legs. Check out www.YourJourneyToBeauty.com for the on-going bridal party online specials.
