What causes tooth discoloration?
There are many factors that contribute to the discoloration of teeth such as aging, drinking coffee, tea, red wine, and/or soda that can often stain teeth, or smoking or chewing tobacco which will also discolor teeth.

How does the Infinity system work?
The Infinity teeth whitening system combines LED technology with an exclusively formulated whitening gel designed to whiten teeth with dramatic results. The specially formulated whitening gel that contains a catalyst.  When combined with the LED light, the catalyst activates the whitening gel to achieve a brighter smile in less time. Teeth whitening affects everyone’s teeth differently.  With the use of this system, patients report a brighter smile with a 7 to 10 shade improvement when compared to the shade card provided during the initial session.  Teeth whitening works best on healthy, vital, natural teeth.  Crowns, veneers, bridges, and bondings will not be affected by the teetch whitening system.

How many treatments are necessary?
Your treatment plan will include an intial session consisting of up to three 10 minute treatments based on your desired result and whitening preference.  Ongoing whitening treatments are scheduled to maintain and rejuvenate your smile.  We offer an Infinity maintenance spray whitener for use after using food or substances that may stain your teeth such as coffee, soda, red wine, etc.

How long will the results last?
The duration between the initial session and follow up sessions will vary from person to person. Certain foods and drinks as well as other factors such as tobacco use, medications, and age can all affect the longevity of your results. Results typically last between 3-5 months. 

Is the whitening process harmful to teeth?
To date there is no evidence demonstrating that teeth whitening is harmful to healthy teeth. All teeth whitening gels cause some degree of tooth sensivity.  This sensivity is normal and should reside quickly following treatment.
