Laser Treatment for Stretch Marks/Striae: Clearer Skin with Smooth, Natural Texture

FDA approved, this Palomar® fractional laser treatment is an excellent aesthetic solution for the millions of women with stretch marks due to puberty, pregnancy, hormonal changes and weight gain. These lift changes can leave unsightly striations on the skin. During a stretch mark treatment, the Lux1540 laser delivers an array of high-precision microbeams to create deep, narrow columns of coagulation in the epidermis and dermis. This triggers a restorative natural healing process that creates healthy new tissue, including the deposition of new collagen. Palomar®'s Lux1540 fractional non-ablative skin resurfacing laser minimizes the appearance of stretch marks with no downtime by improving the unsightly color and skin texture associated with stretch marks, leaving patients with smoother, better-looking skin.

Laser Scar Removal for Acne and Surgical Scars for all skin types

Surgical Scars:

Surgical scar removal procedures are painful, invasive and bring risk for complications. Our Palomar® laser scar removal treatment offers a noninvasive solution that uses fractional laser technology to deliver rapid, reliable scar removal with less risk, less pain and minimal downtime. Laser scar removal is appropriate for use on all skin types. Using fractional laser light to create micro-columns of coagulated tissue that extend deep into the dermis without ablating the epidermis, the wound-healing process is triggered which replaces the disorganized, compacted scar tissue with healthy new tissue. The result is a greatly diminishing the appearance of the scar tissue. For maximum results, multiple treatments spaced appropriately are recommended.

Acne and Acne Scars:

Treating acne with pulsed light can deliver better aesthetic results, especially on inflammatory acne, without the side effects associated with topical and oral acne medications. Acne Palomar® IPL treatments target and destroy the skin bacteria responsible for acne to help prevent future breakouts. Commonly used on the face, chest and back, the pulsed light technology delivers a spectrum of light that is absorbed by porphyrins within skin, destroying P. acnes bacteria and inhibiting future acne breakouts. Using the right amount of light in the right spot size will maximize each treatment outcome. To treat acne scars, targeted pulses of laser light are used to coagulate scar tissue and trigger healthy new tissue to form. Patients have minimal healing time is minimal with little to no pain or risk of infection risk. Multiple treatments may be suggested depending on the patient's desired outcome.

Laser Wrinkle Treatment

With so much emphasis on facial beauty, wrinkle treatments are in demand now more than ever. Palomar® fractional ablative laser treatments allow for a cost-effective treatment for wrinkles requiring minimal recovery time with noticeable, long-lasting results. Periorbital and perioral wrinkle treatment through the use of the fractional ablative laser generates areas of ablation bordered by residual layers of tissue coagulation, which are then surrounded by healthy tissue. The healthy tissue surrounding the treated areas permit rapid re-epithelialization of the epidermis in as little as 12 hours. Unlike traditional CO2 treatments that are painful and requires extensive downtime, the laser wrinkle treatment uses laser light pulses that penetrate the skin to just the right depth and with just the right level of heat to evoke a dramatic healing response that promotes collagen production and diminishes the appearance of fine lines especially around the eyes and mouth.

Laser Skin Resurfacing & Rejuvenation

Fractional laser skin resurfacing with our Palomar® laser will maximize the aesthetic outcome while minimizing procedure risk and downtime. It is the perfect choice for the treatment of wrinkles, melasma, unwanted textural irregularities, crow's feet, blotchy skin and more, on virtually any trouble spot on the body - face, neck, chest, arms, legs. Fractional skin resurfacing uses laser energy micro beams to create areas of affected tissue that extend through the epidermis into the dermis with a grooved line injury pattern on skin that increases ablative tissue coverage while preserving the benefits of fractional column approaches.

Our lasers and pulsed light devices deliver energy to target and destroy vascular and pigmented lesions associated with spider veins, reticular veins, rosacea, telangiectasias, hemangiomas, sun damage, age spots, dyschromia, melasma, poikiloderma, and angiomas. Through selective photothermolysis, these treatments target different chromophores in the skin, which selectively absorb the laser or light energy as heat. The optimal wavelengths of light clear vascular and pigmented lesions by targeting the chromophores of hemoglobin (for vascular lesions) and melanin (for pigmented lesions). The damaged lesions are cleared by the body and the lesion is removed from the skin. Pigmented lesions undergo a mild desquamation and slough off days. Vascular lesions blanch and resolve within 10 to 14 days.
