Description: A surgical procedure that focuses on the patient’s upper and/or lower eyelids to achieve a youthful, refreshed look through the removal of fat and skin from the targeted area. Often, the procedure will include the tightening of the muscles in the lower eyelids.
Anesthesia: Procedure may be performed under general anesthesia or a local with sedation depending on patient preference.
Surgery & Recovery: Length of surgery will range from one to three hours. Patient will return to work within five to fifteen days.
Results: Outcome is enduring with consideration given to aging as time passes.
Complications & Risks: Possible asymmetry, infection, marred eyelid function, and complications related to anesthesia.
